In response to the devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake that recently struck General Santos and nearby areas, MIESCOR joined hands with One Meralco Foundation to deliver immediate relief to affected communities.

The powerful quake caused significant damage to infrastructure, leaving many residents injured and, tragically, claiming lives. In the aftermath, One Meralco Foundation spearheaded a humanitarian outreach initiative aimed at supporting both affected families and healthcare facilities.

As part of the relief effort, tents, hot meals, and clean drinking water were provided to patients and medical personnel in hospitals impacted by the disaster. Relief goods and additional water supplies were also distributed to families severely affected by the earthquake.

MIESCOR played a vital role in the operation by supporting logistics efforts. The company deployed trucks and mobilized volunteers to help transport and distribute essential goods across various affected areas. The team behind this initiative came from MIESCOR’s ongoing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project for the 285MWac Malita Solar Power Plant in Davao, demonstrating their commitment beyond infrastructure development.
