Gapan City, Nueva Ecija, July 14, 2026 – MIESCOR celebrated a defining milestone as Phase 1 of the MTerra Solar Project was inaugurated in a ceremony led by President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. Present in the event were Meralco Chairman and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan, Meralco executives, government officials, and key project stakeholders.

Recognized as the world’s largest integrated solar and battery energy storage project, MTerra Solar will have a total capacity of 3,500 MWp of solar generation, supported by 4,500 MWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS) and 2,500 MWac of inverter capacity.

MIESCOR began its engagement in August 2024 through the project’s facility study and was later selected as the EPC contractor for the interconnection facilities, including the Gapan Main Collector Substation, Satellite 1 and Satellite 2 Substations, and the two 230-kV transmission lines connecting the facility to the grid. Delivered within just 15 months, Phase 1 was completed with a peak workforce of more than 1,300 personnel, achieving over 4 million safe manhours with zero Lost Time Accident.

A key milestone was reached on March 14, 2026, when MTerra Solar was successfully energized, supplying 85 MW of mid-merit power.

MIESCOR President and CEO Richard O. Ochava and members of the Terra Solar Project Team joined the inauguration, celebrating what is now the Company’s largest project in history. Meanwhile, construction of the Phase 2 interconnection facilities continues and remains on track for completion in August 2026, bringing the landmark renewable energy project closer to full operation and reinforcing MIESCOR’s role in advancing the country’s sustainable energy future.
