Project Scope

The uprating works for the Malolos–Calumpit and Malolos–Tabang 69 kV lines involve the replacement of existing ACSR conductors with STACIR conductors to increase the lines’ current-carrying capacity and enhance overall system reliability of MERALCO in the area.
The main scope of work includes conductor replacement, line reconfiguration, and installation of new armor rods. The project was divided into five (5) job orders, implemented progressively from February to June 2025. To facilitate the works, scheduled power interruptions were conducted nightly, during which the DUS-STL team mobilized from Pasig to Bulacan to execute the required construction and line uprating activities.
