On August 31, MIESCOR leaders and its EPC Business Unit together with MERALCO teams proudly energized San Joaquin Substation Project. It is recognized as the first fully indoor substation of its kind in the Philippines featuring an 83MVA Power Transformer and 115/34.5kV GIS.


The compact indoor substation not only requires minimal space but also harmonizes with the surrounding commercial landscape. This pioneering project sets a new benchmark for MERALCO, showcasing an innovative design that paves the way for similar designs in densely populated urban areas and creating opportunities for partnerships with property owners for commercial or co-location ventures.
