MBI REINFORCES MERALCO IN MULTIPLE SUBSTATION PROJECTS

It was truly a triumphant year for Miescor Builders, Inc. (MBI) as it continuously evolves into a stronger FORCE, proving its solid support behind the country’s POWER.

The pandemic was not a hindrance as it remains successful in fulfilling its commitments through completing and energizing Meralco projects.

FPIP’s 3rd Bank Energization Guarantees Reliable and Stable Power Supply

Among the list of various projects in 2021, MBI proudly highlights the First Philippine Industrial Park (FPIP) substation’s third bank.

Through the collaboration of Meralco's Civil Construction and Service Maintenance Team and MBI Project Management team, it was successfully energized in July and completed in October 2021, with emphasis on the top-class services that MBI never fail to provide.

The FPIP substation's expansion is vital in assuring the reliable and stable power supply of the park, which minimizes the risk of power failure during the inclement weather, and in providing additional load capacities as FPIP is constantly developing and increasing its locators.

Energizing LIIP’s GID Building

Well-known for its rich history, mouthwatering delicacies, and undeniably incredible tourist spots, it is certain that Laguna is one of the best places where you can spend an enjoyable and relaxing escapade. But this is not only what the province could offer as it is also home to huge manufacturers, international productions, and an industrial park namely the Laguna International Industrial Park (LIIP).

LIIP aims to be the leading Industrial Estate in the country through its excellent service and world-class facilities. With its latest project, it chose to partner with Meralco, together with MBI’s project management team and MIESCOR’s EPC team, to construct its Gas-Insulated Switchgear (GIS) Building.

The GIS Building, energized last April 2021 and completed last December 2021, will help in empowering the production headquarters of its locators and attract international and local enterprises seeking to relocate business operations where they can be more cost-competitive in terms of serving the global market.

San Mateo Substation successfully energized

Mateo air-insulated Substation that was energized August of last year.
The San Mateo substation will be powered by a 115-kilovolt line, covering a newly constructed 8-kilometer sub-transmission that stretches to three different locations: Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City; Marikina City; and San Mateo, Rizal.

The project is currently in the site development phase which includes perimeter fencing, backfilling and leveling works, and construction of roadway guttering. Working alongside MBI on this project are MIESCOR’s EPC Team and Meralco’s Civil Construction and Service Maintenance Team.

Apart from those, all teams are carefully inspecting, considering, and taking great care of all key points and essentials to ensure that no major construction problem will arise following the completion and turnover of the project to Meralco this January.

MBI prides itself on what is known for, executing projects with world-class standards, as it supports Meralco in strengthening its distribution utility infrastructure.
