MIESCOR Telecoms Improves Globe ODN Facilities in Bulacan

It is without doubt that internet connectivity is essential today, even more so as demand boomed amid the global pandemic.

MIESCOR’s telecommunications business unit, MIESCOR Telecomms, is committed to fulfilling its mission of enhancing and accelerating nationwide connectivity through providing wired and wireless communications infrastructure services to different telco companies.

Globe has partnered with MIESCOR towards this common goal through the Optical Distribution Network (ODN) installation project in Central Luzon. This joint initiative aims to roll out fiber network facilities that will expand the reach of Fiber-to-The-Home infrastructure to serve customers.

The scope of the project is a full turnkey solution from survey and design, permits and right-of-way acquisition, supply and installation of fiber optic cables, network access points, splice closures, poles and line hardware and accessories, to testing and project acceptance/turnover.

The engineering scope is for 20,000 fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) ports, with an initial construction of 10,000 in Sta Maria and Malolos, Bulacan.

MIESCOR Telecomms completed the first phase of this project in December 2021 and is now working on its second phase for completion. Future expansion is also being planned to roll out in other municipalities in the region and in other parts of the country.
