GNPD, considered by far as the biggest coal-fired power plant to be built in the country, has contracts with 30 distribution utilities and two retail electricity suppliers. It will address the need of GN Power to significantly increase power supply capacity in the Luzon grid.The Project is a double circuit, bundle of four 410mm2 TACSR, 500kV transmission line with dual Optical Ground Wire. It is approximately 4 kilometers in length and spans from the Municipality of Mariveles, Province of Bataan to NGCP Mariveles/Alas-asin Substation. The whole works shall be completed in 300 calendar days from the contract effectivity date.

The GNPower Dinginin Plant will initially consist of a 1 x 668 MW supercritical coal-fired power plant (with a one-time expansion option for an additional 1 x 668 MW supercritical unit) that uses an Alstom steam turbine generator.

Prior to this project, MIESCOR was also the contractor for GNPower Kauswagan 230kV Transmission Line. Repeat customers such as GNPower are testament to MIESCOR’s exemplary performance and reliability as a partner contractor.
