Mindanao 230 kV Transmission Backbone Project (Schedule 1 and 2)
Project : Mindanao 230 kV Transmission Backbone Project (Schedule 1 and 2)
Client: National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP)
Scope:

Schedule 1 - Design, supply, installation, and commissioning of secondary devices including construction and erection of NGCP-supplied high voltage equipment associated with the energization of Mindanao 230 kV TL (Matanao-Toril-Bunawan including Culaman)

Schedule 2 - Design, supply, installation, and commissioning of secondary devices including construction and erection of NGCP-supplied high voltage equipment associated with the energization of Mindanao 230 kV TL (Balo-i-Maramag-Villanueva)

The project will upgrade the thermal capacity of the existing transmission backbone, and extend the transmission line towards the Matanao Substation in Davao del Sur. The full capacity dispatch from San Miguel and Therma South Power Plant and other power plants will be made possible by these additional grid facilities. This entails two major activities: the construction of the Matanao-Toril-Bunawan 230kV Line, and the energization of the existing Balo-i-Villanueva-Maramag-Bunawan Line to 230kV voltage level. The transmission line portion of the project will utilize the existing 230 kV PCB in Matanao Substation and the installation of transformers in Toril and Bunawan Substations. The team will have a total of 536 personsin both Schedule 1 and 2, and will be completed in 540 calendar days as required by the client.
