Mindanao Substation Upgrading Project aims to ensure adequate, reliable, and high-quality power transmission system in the region by providing additional transformers, installing capacitor banks, and replacing defective, old, and underrated power circuit breakers. It covers 11 substations in various locations, including Butuan, Placer, San Francisco, Bislig, General Santos, Kidapawan, Tacurong, and Pitogo. It is a turnkey project which covers design and engineering services, supply and installation of equipment and materials, and construction of building and other infrastructure.

Scope of the project also includes furnishing, supplying, replacing, hauling, installing, testing, and commissioning of two 100 MVA 138/69-13.8kV power transformers from Culaman Substation and twelve 7.5 MVR 69 kV capacitor banks. It involves the installation of a total of 875 MVA power transformers, 52.5 MVAR capacitor banks, nineteen 138 kV PCB sand twenty one 69 kV PCBs. Also included in this project is the replacement of eleven 138 kV and twenty seven 69 kV power circuit breakers in various substations in the grid. Total duration of the project is 390 calendar days.
