FOC Splicer

The fiber optic splicer must be able to splice fiber optic cables in both indoor and outdoor settings, read, create and maintain splicing schematics and diagrams.

  • Ability to prep and splice fiber via fusion method
  • Ability to splice large count fibers via tube or ribbon method
  • Ability to access the fiber optic splicer enclosure and splice the necessary fibers directly from a ladder
  • Perform mid-sheath live network splicing
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair outages on a live network
  • Complete knowledge in Central Office, rack, head-end and HUB terminations
  • Able to troubleshoot and repair problems utilizing optical test equipment such as OTDR, Fiber Identifier and Fiber Scope
  • Prep, tray and splice fiber optic cable ranging from single fiber to 288 count as well as perform ring cut when needed
  • Perform testing and turn-ups of subscriber drops in both inside and outside plant environment
  • Perform power meter testing
Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
  • At least Vocational or High school graduate
  • Preferably with working knowledge in Telecommunication
  • At least two (2) years experienced in splicing.
  • With NC II Certification is an advantage
  • Excellent Customer Relations Skills
  • Work location : NCR, Bulacan and Laguna areas
